How do I compress a photo?
Import one photo or a whole folder into Squooze. Select a photo from the list, choose an output format and a visual quality target, then compress it. Squooze automatically searches for the quality setting that meets your target for that photo.
How does the Finder Quick Action work?
Right-click a single photo in Finder and choose Squooze's Quick Action to compress it using your saved default settings — no need to open the app. It works on one photo at a time; select multiple files and it won't run.
Why do I need to set a default output folder?
Inside the app, Squooze can save a compressed photo back into the same folder as the original. The Finder Quick Action can't do that — Finder only grants it access to the file you selected, not its surrounding folder. Choose a default output folder in Squooze's settings once, and the Quick Action will save there every time.
How does the free trial work?
Squooze is free to download, and your first 5 compressions are free. After that, a single one-time purchase unlocks the app with no limit and no subscription.
I bought Squooze — how do I restore it on another Mac?
Open Squooze, go to the purchase screen, and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it.
